The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chelco AFC's Enrique Grabiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Fernandes in the 5th minute of play. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Chelco AFC booed when Patay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Eneto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guaberto Martinez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 27 minutes, Americo Ferrer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patay FC and the Chelco AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fausto Gorka struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Froilan Maore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chelco AFC. Froilan Maore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Lizardi in the 30th minute. Enrique Grabiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Enrique Grabiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Fernandes in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Gaspar Hernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto Gorka made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Chelco AFC's zone, Marco Montay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Grabiel came out of the goal and Marco Montay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspar Hernandez got free with Enrique Grabiel in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enrique Grabiel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaspar Hernandez went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 63 minutes into the match, Chelco AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Fernandes came free, but Enrique Grabiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Delmiro Fernandes in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Delmiro Fernandes took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrique Grabiel. Enrique Grabiel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 82 minutes into the match, Chelco AFC's goalkeeper Enrique Grabiel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaspar Hernandez. In the 84th minute, Gaspar Hernandez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Patay FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A hard shot 99 in the game by Gaspar Hernandez from a close distance when the talented Enrique Grabiel managed to make a qualified save. Chelco AFC's players were relieved. Patay FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
