Elvio Erruki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Grabiel having to interfere. If Anastasio Saturnin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hersilia's Baldomero Cebrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Lizardi in the 10th minute of play. Anastasio Saturnin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Enrique Grabiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elvio Erruki got free with Enrique Grabiel in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Nereo Lizardi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomero Cebrian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Elvio Erruki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Enrique Grabiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baldomero Cebrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Lizardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Manuel Cresencio notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hersilia's Baldomero Cebrian. Baldomero Cebrian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anastasio Saturnin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hersilia's Baldomero Cebrian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Hersilia from getting a goal against them. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Claudio Meder put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Hersilia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chelco AFC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, Chelco AFC's Guaberto Martinez got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Baldomero Cebrian. Elvio Erruki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Elvio Erruki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Chelco AFC's zone, Elvio Erruki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Grabiel came out of the goal and Elvio Erruki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nereo Lizardi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chelco AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
