After 3 minutes, Basilio Ovando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carcnaval and the Lev Davidovich players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Carcnaval getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Basilio Ovando hit a great ball. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lev Davidovich! The referee gave Carcnaval a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anacleto Gilen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lev Davidovich's Mario Erasto. 0-1. Mario Erasto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Loreto in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Carcnaval were awarded a corner. Anacleto Gilen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Carcnaval's Marco Koldo to fire away a dangerous shot which Mario Erasto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. During the 18th minute of the match Basilio Ovando completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Basilio Ovando a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 18th match minute, Carcnaval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Ovando to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Carcnaval's Elvio Oalo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elvio Oalo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Carcnaval protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elvio Oalo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Severo Tabb had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Arsenio Playo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Arsenio Playo did an outstanding performance 24 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Severo Tabb in the goal. 27 minutes in the game, Zeledon Millrick fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Severo Tabb having to interfere. Zeledon Millrick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erasmo Precioso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lev Davidovich's Mario Erasto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Loreto in the 37th minute of play. When Mariano Loreto fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carcnaval's protests and gave Mariano Loreto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Carcnaval getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mariano Loreto hit a great ball. When Luciano Arnalt fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carcnaval's protests and gave Luciano Arnalt a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Carcnaval's Luciano Arnalt got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Erasmo Precioso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeledon Millrick to strike the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo Donio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mario Erasto having to make a save. 54 minutes into the game, Carcnaval's Erasmo Precioso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mario Erasto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Lev Davidovich's Zeledon Millrick got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Koldo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Carcnaval's Severo Tabb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Millrick in the 65th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogelio Bingen during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Lev Davidovich got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Bingen. Carcnaval's Anacleto Gilen got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvano Pueblo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Tabb having to interfere. Severo Tabb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Millrick in the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Lev Davidovich booed when Carcnaval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Donio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severo Tabb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Millrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Erasmo Precioso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erasmo Precioso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carcnaval played a much better game than Lev Davidovich and deserved their victory. The Lev Davidovich players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
