A collision led to Lev Davidovich getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Benicio Kepa hit a great ball. In the 5th minute, Igor Su sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lev Davidovich's Mario Erasto didn't even have to move. When Zeledon Millrick came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Lev Davidovich fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Millrick couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, The New Brighton's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio George came free, but Carlos Matei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When The New Brighton's Adrian Adrio in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lev Davidovich's goalie prevented a goal. Adrian Adrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Mario Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Mario Erasto, was totally fooled by The New Brighton's Igor Su, who 21 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 28 minutes into the match, Lev Davidovich's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Adrio came free, but Mario Erasto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Osvaldo Gaspard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Millrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Matei having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrian Adrio was the one to do the kick off. If Zeledon Millrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Gaspard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Erasto having to interfere. Lev Davidovich's Mario Erasto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Adrio in the 59th minute of play. Fulgencio Gabino charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fulgencio Gabino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, Fulgencio Gabino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The New Brighton's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Octavio George scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Matei, making the score, 2-1. In the 69th minute Osvaldo Gaspard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lev Davidovich booed when The New Brighton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Su didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Adrio in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mario Erasto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The New Brighton's Carlos Matei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save The New Brighton from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Lev Davidovich booed when The New Brighton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Gabino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio George recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrian Adrio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Erasto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The New Brighton's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
