Spectators: 7184 (Terracing: 5390, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when German Oliveiro kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmiro Venceslao got free with Melchor Sotil in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Melchor Sotil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Jorrin in the 4th minute of play. Paulino Joey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Oliveiro in the 6th minute of the match. Marco Jorrin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th play minute Sergio Mateo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Melchor Sotil. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers German Oliveiro in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulino Joey saved La Cañada F.C. from getting behind. Sergio Mateo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marco Jorrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Esquel's German Oliveiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulino Joey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ruben Vito kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Melchor Sotil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Jorrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on La Cañada F.C.'s corner Serafin Astrada fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Melchor Sotil quite easily take care of the ball. With his leg Melchor Sotil managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when La Cañada F.C.'s Sergio Mateo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. La Cañada F.C.'s Marco Jorrin got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Martin Nafarroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes Esquel got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Vito. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Jorrin to make the kick off. Martin Nafarroa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Melchor Sotil having to make a save. 55 minutes into the game, Hector Eguerdi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Cañada F.C. the free kick. 61 minutes into the game, La Cañada F.C.'s Sergio Mateo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melchor Sotil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Melchor Sotil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Jorrin in the 68th minute of the match. If Marco Jorrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Marco Jorrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchor Sotil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Jorrin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melchor Sotil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Melchor Sotil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Jorrin, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The Esquel players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented La Cañada F.C. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
