With a little luck, Sampacho City's Victorio Ticho got control of the ball when Roberto Lesardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victorio Ticho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Lesardo in the 12th minute. Fidel Kelemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victorio Ticho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Farias in the 17th minute of play. Freddy Vimaro charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fernan Playo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza's Sebastian Lehoi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Victorio Ticho but with some difficulty. Roberto Lesardo in the 49thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Victorio Ticho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Kelemen couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Jeronimo Teyo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fidel Kelemen struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Fernan Playo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sampacho City. In the 70th minute, Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jeronimo Teyo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 73 played minutes, Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza's Bernardino Peli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victorio Ticho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza's zone, Jeronimo Teyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernan Playo came out of the goal and Jeronimo Teyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fidel Kelemen in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernan Playo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeronimo Teyo got free with Fernan Playo in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Sampacho City getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Fidel Kelemen hit a great ball. Victorio Ticho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Lesardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Jeronimo Teyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Playo having to interfere.
