The corner led la scaloneta fc's Mateo Duardo to fire away a dangerous shot which Ermegildo Theobald despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Mateo Duardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. la scaloneta fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateo Duardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th match minute, Deseado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Pirro to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Deseado's zone, Esteban Leobardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Theobald came out of the goal and Esteban Leobardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Alejandro Rencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. la scaloneta fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Rencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mateo Duardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Theobald having to interfere. Esteban Leobardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ermegildo Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Deseado were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseo Ponciano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melchor Mikelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Theobald having to interfere. If Astor Eskuin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, la scaloneta fc's Melchor Mikelar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ermegildo Theobald narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st minute Melchor Mikelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Theobald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermegildo Theobald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Duardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Melchor Mikelar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ermegildo Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Esteban Leobardo sped through Deseado's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ermegildo Theobald. Ermegildo Theobald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Rencio in the 94th minute of the match.
