Gaston Videl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Caitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in sp Rivadavia's zone, Alfredo Cayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Videl came out of the goal and Alfredo Cayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Hernan Caitano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaston Videl was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Paolo Cebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Victorio Gentza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Hernan Caitano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gaston Videl. Hernan Caitano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Hernan Caitano took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaston Videl. Gaston Videl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Edgard Ramond kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, NEWELLS 74's Alfredo Cayo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alfredo Cayo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of NEWELLS 74 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alfredo Cayo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 71st match minute, NEWELLS 74 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Cayo to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Benito Amaya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hernan Caitano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Gaston Videl made a huge save. Victorio Gentza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Cebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
