After a rather tough play, Carrizalito's Filiberto Sadurni got a free kick in the 6th minute. Marcial Rio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnulfo Maidana in the 9th minute. After 10 played minutes Mazán got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Phelipe. Justo Eutropio spun around in front of the goal 11 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Mazán's goal. Justo Eutropio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18thth minute of the game Justo Eutropio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mazán's Marcial Rio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute Justo Eutropio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Rio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Arnulfo Maidana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrizalito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Maidana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeronimo Petrigai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Arnas, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Mazán's Marcial Rio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Maidana in the 26th minute of play. Arnulfo Maidana succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 29th playminute. Justo Eutropio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arnulfo Maidana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justo Eutropio struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Marcial Rio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carrizalito. The wind increased when Justo Eutropio made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Mazán's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Eutropio came free, but Marcial Rio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Maidana couldn't finish the play. Marcial Rio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Eutropio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Carrizalito were awarded a corner. Jose Maura went to the cornerflag to take it. Carrizalito's Alfredo Gartxot was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcial Rio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Carrizalito's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
