An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Frans in the 19th minute of play forced SAN JOSE DE FLORES LMDS's goalkeeper Alberto Fernendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Fernendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Frans, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Elpidio Senio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Alberto Fernendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Rosendo Tebaldo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carolo Belarmo, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to SAN JOSE DE FLORES LMDS getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Silverio Confesor hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Adan Frans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Fernendo was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Carolo Belarmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Tebaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Esteve Rutenio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Yupanqui Futbol Club's Elpidio Senio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alberto Fernendo. That made the score 2-1 after 85 minutes of play. Adan Frans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Fernendo having to interfere. Elpidio Senio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Adan Frans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yupanqui Futbol Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
