Rolando Rios kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Mariño's Leon Sol got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gogo Montae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Reyes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leon Basajaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Intersport FC's goalkeeper Gogo Montae, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcelo Jaen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Baumer having to interfere. Intersport FC's Everardo Tibalt got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

After a defensive mix-up in Mariño's zone, Marcelo Jaen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Baumer came out of the goal and Marcelo Jaen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raul Chepe's late challenge caught a Intersport FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raul Chepe helped the player get up and apologised. 58 minutes into the game, one of Mariño:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Intersport FC. Enrique Mikelats stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Santos Baumer. 1-1. Marcelo Jaen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Tibalt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Santos Baumer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Jaen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Santos Baumer made a huge save. When Leon Sol came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Mariño fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Sol couldn't finish the play. Leon Sol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Montae having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Jaen got free with Santos Baumer in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mariño fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 99th minute. Penalty! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Intersport FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
