The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of AC LEON booed when Kikineitor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Unai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Candido Iliana came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by AC LEON's Aurelio Odilon. But to his dismay, Aurelio Odilon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Candido Iliana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aurelio Odilon went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Pablo Urti hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Gustavo Tajo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Perez in the 14th minute. Gustavo Tajo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Kikineitor's Fabricio Perez shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Candido Iliana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Urti in the 23rd minute of the match. Ramiro Loiola took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Tajo. Gustavo Tajo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Fabricio Perez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in AC LEON's zone, Ramiro Loiola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Tajo came out of the goal and Ramiro Loiola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabricio Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Tajo having to interfere. After 40 minutes of play, AC LEON's Gavino Navarro made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Candido Iliana was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Loiola in the 48th minute of play forced AC LEON's goalkeeper Gustavo Tajo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelio Odilon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Victor Nel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kikineitor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC LEON the free kick. Victor Nel hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ramiro Loiola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fabricio Perez took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Tajo. Gustavo Tajo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Gustavo Tajo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramiro Loiola went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. AC LEON's Gavino Navarro got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Ramiro Loiola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Tajo was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-3. After 91 played minutes AC LEON got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Urti. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Venancio Rolado in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Tajo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 96 minutes into the match, Kikineitor's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Urti came free, but Candido Iliana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kikineitor had played much better football throughout.
