In the 22nd minute Hugo Emenon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Salamon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Arnaldo Ticho made a huge save. Ovidio Salamon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 26th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Chuchi's zone, Ovidio Salamon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Ticho came out of the goal and Ovidio Salamon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Hugo Emenon in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Emanuel Havier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chuchi's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Havier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Nel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Chuchi were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Emenon to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Chuchi's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Modestio came free, but Arnaldo Ticho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ovidio Salamon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Emanuel Havier managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Camerino in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnaldo Ticho saved Chuchi from getting behind. Ovidio Salamon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Arnaldo Ticho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Carlos Camerino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th match minute, Chuchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Llorian to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Camerino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chuchi's goalkeeper Arnaldo Ticho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Domingos Rufo fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaona FC's protests and gave Domingos Rufo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th match minute, Gaona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Rufo to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Emenon struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Tadeo Nel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chuchi. Chuchi were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Gaona FC's much stronger midfield.
