One of vacajrs:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rio de la Plata:s goal. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Rio de la Plata. Edgard Nahia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Anastasio Tab. 0-1. Anastasio Tab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Estebano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in vacajrs's zone, Jonas Estebano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Tab came out of the goal and Jonas Estebano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesar Stanislao kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. When Rio de la Plata's Jonas Estebano in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye vacajrs's goalie prevented a goal. Inocencio Fonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Lauaxeta in the 23rd minute of play. If Cesar Stanislao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisito Jorrin hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Angelo Gagriel sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Inocencio Fonso threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Angelo Gagriel this time. Anastasio Tab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Ovando in the 35th minute of play. When Jonas Estebano came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Rio de la Plata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Estebano couldn't finish the play. If Cesar Stanislao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Jonas Estebano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Tab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Olentzaro took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inocencio Fonso. Inocencio Fonso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Anastasio Tab made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Estebano in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, vacajrs's Gregorio Lauaxeta got a free kick in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Estebano got free with Anastasio Tab in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to vacajrs getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bonifacio Araoz hit a great ball. Jonas Estebano in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anastasio Tab, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Estebano got free with Anastasio Tab in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 75 minutes, Jonas Estebano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio de la Plata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Estebano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Olentzaro in the 77th minute of play forced Rio de la Plata's goalkeeper Inocencio Fonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anastasio Tab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Ovando, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Jonas Estebano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonas Estebano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Tab having to interfere. Edgard Nahia hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Rio de la Plata's Jonas Estebano got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonio Gauargi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Anastasio Tab made a huge save. Jonas Estebano came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Anastasio Tab could save by the left post. In the 95th minute, Jonas Estebano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rio de la Plata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When the match was over Rio de la Plata could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than vacajrs throughout the match.
