After taking down the ball on Team Jordan's corner Fausto Cordarrell fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Inocencio Fonso quite easily take care of the ball. Inocencio Fonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Berenguer in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Aristides Inocente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Fonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rio de la Plata getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Antonio Gauargi hit a great ball. Inocencio Fonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Inocente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Team Jordan's Javier Ekialde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Team Jordan from getting a goal against them. Ignacio Sazon scored 1-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inocencio Fonso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th minute, Aristides Inocente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Ekialde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Estebano in the 41st minute. Jonas Estebano in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Javier Ekialde, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ignacio Sazon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Estebano couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rio de la Plata fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! Team Jordan's Javier Ekialde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Jorrin in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Rio de la Plata's Santo Ovando made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Javier Ekialde was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Cesar Stanislao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 70th minute, Santo Ovando left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rio de la Plata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. The nice shot from Severino Berenguer in the 75thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Inocencio Fonso had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Team Jordan's Javier Ekialde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Iraido in the 77th minute of play. If Santo Ovando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Ovando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Javier Ekialde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesar Stanislao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Team Jordan's zone, Luisito Jorrin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Ekialde came out of the goal and Luisito Jorrin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Pueblo's late challenge caught a Rio de la Plata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Pueblo helped the player get up and apologised. Mariano Pueblo kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Santo Ovando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Ekialde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Rio de la Plata players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
