The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Rivertidísimo VGesell's Benjamin Roano got a free kick in the 4th minute. Adolfo Burni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Lorencio having to interfere. Joaquin Rolado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute, Maximo Berto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eleuterio Lorencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Roano, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 31st minute Jacinto Fernado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Su saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Evelio Roano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eleuterio Lorencio, 1-0. In the 35th minute, Edelmiro Garaile hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Fracrau's zone, Adolfo Burni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Lorencio came out of the goal and Adolfo Burni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Burni came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eleuterio Lorencio could save by the left post. After 46 minutes, Ruben Maldonado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fracrau and the Rivertidísimo VGesell players grew even worse after the yellow card. 45 minutes into the game, one of Fracrau:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paolo Lano to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Adolfo Burni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Marcelo Salvadore fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fracrau's protests and gave Marcelo Salvadore a yellow card for diving instead. Adolfo Burni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eleuterio Lorencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Fracrau's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Roano came free, but Eleuterio Lorencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Evelio Roano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eleuterio Lorencio was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Americo Elodio kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Ruben Maldonado hit a great ball. Benjamin Roano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eleuterio Lorencio. Fracrau's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
