Pedro Hibai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciriaco Geleberto's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ciriaco Geleberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Instituto de Cordoba's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Geleberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Hibai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Florencio Damario ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Hibai was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With his leg Pedro Hibai managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Instituto de Cordoba's Florencio Damario fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Rodrigo Patrido managed to get in a good position for a shot. Napaleofú FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Patrido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alonzo Oidor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Napaleofú FC booed when Instituto de Cordoba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alonzo Oidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Maria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Ciriaco Geleberto made the kick off in the second half. If Gregorio Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Instituto de Cordoba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Napaleofú FC the free kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Napaleofú FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
