All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernabe Urbes made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Fernando Donio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tamberías's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Donio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusebio Birjaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Donio couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Theobald FC's zone, Artemio Ferdinand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusebio Birjaio came out of the goal and Artemio Ferdinand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Fernando Donio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Eusebio Birjaio, passed just outside the right post. Eusebio Birjaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Donio in the 95th minute of play. Tamberías's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Theobald FC had won, even though Tamberías had held more of the ball.
