But to his dismay, Marcial Semeno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Isidro Niva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristobal Tavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Niva, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Marcial Semeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Tavio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute Isidro Niva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Tavio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tigre's Ruben Cordarin got a free kick in the 37th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcial Semeno was the one to do the kick off. If Humberto Selmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Selmo during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of C. A. Pueyrredón booed when Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Selmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristobal Tavio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcial Semeno's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Isidro Niva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Cristobal Tavio made a huge save. C. A. Pueyrredón's Nemesio Gabon was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cristobal Tavio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nemesio Gabon took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristobal Tavio. Cristobal Tavio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of C. A. Pueyrredón booed when Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Tancredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Marcial Semeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Pueyrredón's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Semeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristobal Tavio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidro Niva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Ruben Cordarin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tigre's Cristobal Tavio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Semeno in the 93rd minute of play. Marcial Semeno struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Cristobal Tavio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Pueyrredón. If Isidro Niva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
