Jairo Jerold thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Aquiles Paz, a very annoying self made goal in the 7th minute which led to 0-1. If Ricardo Dantel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Dantel struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Aquiles Paz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Preston dc. Joel Dimo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Gabon in the 18th minute of play. Preston dc's Epifanio Henrico got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benigno Iago hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match Fabricio Gomez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aquiles Paz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 40th minute of the match, Marcial Semeno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulo Marin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Paulo Marin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidro Niva in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Dantel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquiles Paz was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcial Semeno to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, C. A. Pueyrredón's Nemesio Gabon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Marin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 63 minutes into the match, C. A. Pueyrredón's goalkeeper Aquiles Paz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Dantel. Paulo Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Semeno in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute Nemesio Gabon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Marin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Iago, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. A collision led to Preston dc getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Epifanio Henrico hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Nemesio Gabon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Joel Dimo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 82nd minute Benigno Iago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Preston dc's Paulo Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Niva in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, C. A. Pueyrredón's Aquiles Paz got control of the ball when Epifanio Henrico tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcial Semeno in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Marin saved Preston dc from getting behind. In the 87th minute, Nemesio Gabon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. After some careless play in the Preston dc defense, Isidro Niva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Marin. The Preston dc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Marin should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Preston dc getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Adrian Beti hit a great ball. C. A. Pueyrredón's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
