Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Cristian Nalo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dariusz Kosmatka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciriaco Bingen in the 3rd minute of the match. The referee showed Ruben Cordarin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Tigre got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Cordarin. Ladislao Tebaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Arnoldo Mergildo fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC San Martín de Mendoza's protests and gave Arnoldo Mergildo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AC San Martín de Mendoza's Arnoldo Mergildo got a free kick in the 18th minute. The supporters of AC San Martín de Mendoza booed when Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Selmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Tebaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Tavio having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Cristian Nalo made a precise shot to the right of Cristobal Tavio. Tigre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 65th minute, AC San Martín de Mendoza's Cristian Nalo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristobal Tavio. Cristobal Tavio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Cristian Nalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC San Martín de Mendoza's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Nalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristobal Tavio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Nalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Cristobal Tavio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, AC San Martín de Mendoza's Alejo Txaran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristobal Tavio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 89 minutes, Humberto Selmo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tigre and the AC San Martín de Mendoza players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes, Tigre's Leon Joey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dariusz Kosmatka came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tigre reached it. Ladislao Tebaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AC San Martín de Mendoza played a much better game than Tigre and deserved their victory. The Tigre players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
