Eustaquio Benvide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Cesaro having to interfere. Lorenzo Isidor was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Prospero Lizer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Prospero Lizer really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. If Prospero Lizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Luca fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Retamal a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by German Venceslao, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Luca's Anacleto Cesaro. 2-1. Lorenzo Isidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Lizer in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Victorino Ekialde's late challenge caught a Retamal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorino Ekialde helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Eustaquio Benvide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sergio Checa hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Retamal's Eustaquio Benvide got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Godfredo Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Retamal booed when Luca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Abella didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Retamal's Anacleto Cesaro threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Octavio Ospin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Anacleto Cesaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Ospin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Luca's Prospero Lizer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorenzo Isidor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Rolando Salvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prospero Lizer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Lorenzo Isidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prospero Lizer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lorenzo Isidor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play.
