Sopapa y Cotonete FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Raebert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pascual Iraitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jairo Raebert took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alonzo Cresenciano. Alonzo Cresenciano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cleto Cordearo charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleto Cordearo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Cleto Cordearo got a free kick in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Sopapa y Cotonete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Raebert came free, but Alonzo Cresenciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Jerold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bartolo Rufo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Bartolo Rufo threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silvio Romo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Celestino Raymon suffered a concussion in the 17th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Feliberto Jenaro hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Jairo Raebert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Alonzo Cresenciano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Raebert in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonzo Cresenciano saved Sopapa y Cotonete FC from getting behind. Pascual Iraitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alonzo Cresenciano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo Raebert's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If Pascual Iraitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Preston North End's Pascual Iraitz in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sopapa y Cotonete FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Aristides Policarpio got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Preston North End were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 55th minute, Pascual Iraitz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alonzo Cresenciano. The goal made the score 0-5. Leopoldo Cordeal hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Alonzo Cresenciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Sopapa y Cotonete FC from getting a goal against them. Jairo Raebert's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Alonzo Cresenciano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Feliberto Jenaro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Jairo Raebert struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Alonzo Cresenciano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Preston North End. Pascual Iraitz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Alonzo Cresenciano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pascual Iraitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alonzo Cresenciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 77 in the game by Jairo Raebert from a close distance when the talented Alonzo Cresenciano managed to make a qualified save. Sopapa y Cotonete FC's players were relieved. With his leg Alonzo Cresenciano managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Preston North End's Jairo Raebert fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Iraitz in the 80th minute of play forced Sopapa y Cotonete FC's goalkeeper Alonzo Cresenciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Iraitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Cresenciano having to interfere. Jairo Raeberts short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Alonzo Cresenciano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Sopapa y Cotonete FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Preston North End were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
