After 7 played minutes, Chivilcoy's Gabriel Obeko shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celestino Tonio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chivilcoy reached it. Celestino Tonio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbano Montrel in the 9th minute of the match. When Chivilcoy's Urbano Montrel in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Feliciano Oroitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Chivilcoy's Rodrigo Lugo got a free kick in the 25th minute. Leo Eliazar hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Urbano Montrel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guajal AFC's Celestino Tonio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urbano Montrel in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celestino Tonio saved Guajal AFC from getting behind. If Leo Eliazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes, Cipriano Torres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chivilcoy and the Guajal AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Cipriano Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feliciano Oroitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Guajal AFC's Mauro Mateus got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Celestino Tonio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Loi, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urbano Montrel to make the kick off. Celestino Tonio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cipriano Torres in the 54th minute. Leo Eliazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Tonio having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Urbano Montrel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chivilcoy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Montrel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cipriano Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbano Montrel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Celestino Tonio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 minutes of play, Chivilcoy's Cipriano Torres made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celestino Tonio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Urbano Montrel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Celestino Tonio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 76th minute, Urbano Montrel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celestino Tonio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Celestino Tonio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gabriel Obeko. Urbano Montrel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Cipriano Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chivilcoy's Urbano Montrel got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Chivilcoy getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Freddy Abadie hit a great ball. In the 92ndth minute of the game Siro Bihar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chivilcoy's Alvaro Hernando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Urbano Montrel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Chivilcoy played a much better game than Guajal AFC and deserved their victory. The Guajal AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
