The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Talleres. 18 minutes into the match, Guajal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Lalla came free, but Celestino Tonio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guajal AFC's goalkeeper Celestino Tonio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Lalla in the 21st minute of play forced Guajal AFC's goalkeeper Celestino Tonio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Anier Paul was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guajal AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talleres the free kick. The supporters of Talleres booed when Guajal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Paul didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliciano Oroitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Erruki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Celestino Tonio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Guajal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Lalla came free, but Celestino Tonio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celestino Tonio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Lalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 59 minutes, Oscar Erruki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Erruki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Talleres booed when Guajal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Ofelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee gave Talleres a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arnaldo Mantzio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Guajal AFC's Celestino Tonio. 1-1. Guajal AFC's Celestino Tonio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Lalla in the 94th minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Talleres's Damaso Lalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celestino Tonio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
