The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Atlético Pinamar's Pascual Barto got control of the ball when Delmar Eudoxio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jimeno Raulo charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimeno Raulo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pascual Barto made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Melchor Lop sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st match minute, Atlético Pinamar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anier Gabrio to maneuver through the defense. Octavio Gaitano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Vachon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Ariel Manzano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Octavio Gaitano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Que No Decaiga's Delmar Eudoxio got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the game, Mārtiņs Gasūns was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Pinamar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Que No Decaiga the free kick. Iker Peruanton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Pascual Barto made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Atlético Pinamar's Reynaldo Vachon got a free kick in the 37th minute. Atlético Pinamar's Anier Gabrio got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reynaldo Vachon made a great header on Atlético Pinamar's corner, it was just that Que No Decaiga's Octavio Gaitano managed to reach the ball for a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eleuterio Eutor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Reynaldo Vachon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the match Iker Peruanton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pascual Barto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pascual Barto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Eutor in the 64th minute of play. Jonathan Hammer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Octavio Gaitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atlético Pinamar made a substitution. Ramon Azibar replaced Angel Maldonado. When Ruben Odol fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Que No Decaiga's protests and gave Ruben Odol a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Atlético Pinamar booed when Que No Decaiga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Odol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Mārtiņs Gasūns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Pinamar's zone, Iker Peruanton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascual Barto came out of the goal and Iker Peruanton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Atlético Pinamar walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
