Spectators: 6970 (Terracing: 5144, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 8th minute Cipriano Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alberdi AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Haroldo Loi was slow to take the kick. During this time Chivilcoy's players had a chance to rest. Chivilcoy's Gabriel Obeko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gaston Cruz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 13th minute, Bernardo Gaspard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Urbano Montrel put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gaston Cruz. Alvaro Hernando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Cidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Alvaro Hernando managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Alberdi AFC's Bernardo Gaspard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hernan Cidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Hernando having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Bernardo Gaspard made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Hernando. Chivilcoy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 26th minute Cipriano Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute Urbano Montrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Alberdi AFC booed when Chivilcoy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Montrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urbano Montrel's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Cipriano Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Urbano Montrel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaston Cruz was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 46th minute of the match Gabriel Obeko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaston Cruz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Gabriel Obeko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaston Cruz skillfully saved the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urbano Montrel was the one to do the kick off. Camilo Argider struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Gaston Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chivilcoy. Hernan Cidro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alberdi AFC's goalkeeper Gaston Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 60 in the game by Urbano Montrel from a close distance when the talented Gaston Cruz managed to make a qualified save. Alberdi AFC's players were relieved. Ulises Kaiet's late challenge caught a Chivilcoy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulises Kaiet helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Alberdi AFC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ulises Kaiet hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Florencio Ricart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urbano Montrel in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaston Cruz saved Alberdi AFC from getting behind. In the 76th minute, Ulises Kaiet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Gaston Cruz managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Chivilcoy's Urbano Montrel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alberdi AFC's Gaston Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Alberdi AFC from getting a goal against them. Gaston Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Montrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Chivilcoy's Leo Eliazar got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cipriano Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Montrel in the 84th minute of play forced Alberdi AFC's goalkeeper Gaston Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leo Eliazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Gaston Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urbano Montrel's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute of the match, Urbano Montrel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gaston Cruz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
