A hard shot 25 in the game by Clodoveo Tximitx from a close distance when the talented Victoriano Frutos managed to make a qualified save. Gimnasia LP's players were relieved. In the 27th minute, Marcos Veto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aquiles Harri was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 33 minutes into the game, Amado Kaxen lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Victoriano Frutos. If Marcos Veto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Dalmau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Harri having to interfere. Adrian Inko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amado Kaxen was the one to do the kick off. Marcos Veto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to ACF Fiorentina getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Guillermo Benat hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's goalkeeper Aquiles Harri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Veto. Aquiles Harri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Dalmau in the 61st minute of the match. Aquiles Harri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabio Dalmau's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute Amado Kaxen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Frutos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Amado Kaxen came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the ACF Fiorentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Kaxen couldn't finish the play. Clodoveo Tximitx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Frutos having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Santos Ricart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gimnasia LP's goalkeeper Victoriano Frutos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clodoveo Tximitx in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victoriano Frutos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. ACF Fiorentina's Aquiles Harri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save ACF Fiorentina from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gimnasia LP players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ACF Fiorentina.
