Marcos Veto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Normando having to interfere. Remigio Normando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Dalmau in the 10th minute of play. If Marcos Veto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Veto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Remigio Normando having to make a save. In the 17th minute Fabio Dalmau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Normando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Frutos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Richie, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Candido Richie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victoriano Frutos having to make a save. Adrian Inko kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Candido Richie charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Candido Richie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Granates got a freekick which was hit by Candido Richie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabio Dalmau in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Normando saved Granates from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Fabio Dalmau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimnasia LP's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Dalmau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Normando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Veto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Normando having to interfere. Candido Richie might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Frutos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Candido Richie ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Veto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remigio Normando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Dalmau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Remigio Normando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Inko in the 51st minute of play. Christian Estebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Frutos having to interfere. Christian Estebe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Victoriano Frutos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Candido Richie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Granates's supporters rose to their feet, but Candido Richie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia LP's zone, Candido Richie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Frutos came out of the goal and Candido Richie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clodoveo Furman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Victoriano Frutos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Granates's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Veto came free, but Remigio Normando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Veto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Normando having to interfere.
