The coaching staff of C.D.Euzkadi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Epifanio Pasqual had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of C.D.Euzkadi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Granates:s goal. In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Granates. Ambrosio Transito stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eugenio Leocadio. 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The C.D.Euzkadi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Granates's performance. The match ended with a win for Granates.
