Dionisio Kusko struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Orlando Orlondon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Rafaela. After having played for 15 minutes, Romulo Haimar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Rafaela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Haimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Basilio Oso fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Medallones de Pollo FC's protests and gave Basilio Oso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Medallones de Pollo FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Basilio Oso hit a great ball. Orlando Quiroga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jacobo Remir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Romulo Haimar came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Club Atletico Rafaela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romulo Haimar couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Lauro in the 33rd minute of play forced Club Atletico Rafaela's goalkeeper Jacobo Remir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Romulo Haimar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Rafaela's supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Haimar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Orlondon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Quiroga to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Orlando Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Remir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Victorino Lauro could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Jacobo Remir however easily saved by the left post. 60 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Rafaela's goalkeeper Jacobo Remir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorino Lauro. When Flavio Txaran fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Rafaela's protests and gave Flavio Txaran a yellow card for diving instead. The Medallones de Pollo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orlando Orlondon should have stopped the shot. Victorino Lauro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Jacobo Remir made a huge save. If Orlando Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orlando Orlondon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Kusko in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Kusko in the 86th minute of play forced Medallones de Pollo FC's goalkeeper Orlando Orlondon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alonzo Chan during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alonzo Chan kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Medallones de Pollo FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atletico Rafaela.
