After having played for 7 minutes, Alfonso Gentza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrella de Maldonado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Gentza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Quiroga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Palos having to interfere. In the 12th minute of the match, Orlando Quiroga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carmelo Palos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Orlando Orlondon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Pereyra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Lauro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfonso Gentza might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Orlando Orlondon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfonso Gentza ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Medallones de Pollo FC's zone, Eriberto Pereyra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Orlondon came out of the goal and Eriberto Pereyra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Estrella de Maldonado booed when Medallones de Pollo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Beltza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolas Oinatz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 27th minute Alfonso Gentza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victorino Lauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Palos having to interfere. If Orlando Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Medallones de Pollo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Gentza came free, but Orlando Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Oinatz charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Oinatz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nicolas Oinatz hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Orlando Orlondon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Pereyra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Lauro struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Carmelo Palos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medallones de Pollo FC.

The wind increased when Eriberto Pereyra made the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Gentza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arsenio Acosta hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Medallones de Pollo FC's Orlando Orlondon got control of the ball when Alfonso Gentza tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Simon Goizeder fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrella de Maldonado's protests and gave Simon Goizeder a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Medallones de Pollo FC booed when Estrella de Maldonado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Goizeder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arsenio Acosta kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Estrella de Maldonado's Carmelo Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Lauro in the 66th minute of play. Orlando Quiroga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Carmelo Palos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Estrella de Maldonado defense, Orlando Quiroga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carmelo Palos. The Estrella de Maldonado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carmelo Palos should have stopped the shot. Medallones de Pollo FC's Orlando Orlondon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Medallones de Pollo FC from getting a goal against them. In the 84th match minute, Medallones de Pollo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Oso to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Nicolas Oinatz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Medallones de Pollo FC's Orlando Orlondon didn't even have to move. Alfonso Gentza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Orlando Orlondon made a huge save. In the 90th minute Eriberto Pereyra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Estrella de Maldonado's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Quiroga came free, but Carmelo Palos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Alfonso Gentza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orlando Orlondon. Medallones de Pollo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso Gentza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
