In the 4th match minute, Estrella de Maldonado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Nardo to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute of the match Feliciano Misael sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carmelo Palos skillfully saved the ball. Ezequiel Etxepare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carmelo Palos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Chuan in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Domingos Mendiko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibáñez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estrella de Maldonado the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ibáñez's Domingos Mendiko got a free kick in the 13th minute. Carmelo Palos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Etxepare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmacio Dalmau during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dalmacio Dalmau kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Ibáñez's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Pereyra came free, but Leandro Menendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 played minutes Ibáñez got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Mendiko. A collision led to Ibáñez getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Teobaldo Columbo hit a great ball. Leandro Menendo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nicolas Oinatz. After a defensive mix-up in Estrella de Maldonado's zone, Braulio Chuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmelo Palos came out of the goal and Braulio Chuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ezequiel Etxepare took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carmelo Palos. Carmelo Palos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Carmelo Palos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Chuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Lauro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carmelo Palos. Estrella de Maldonado's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 46th minute, Domingos Mendiko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 49th minute Estrella de Maldonado were awarded a corner. Nicolas Oinatz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Estrella de Maldonado's Nicolas Oinatz to fire away a dangerous shot which Leandro Menendo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel Etxepare to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ezequiel Etxepare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carlos Bakar fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibáñez's protests and gave Carlos Bakar a yellow card for diving instead. Leandro Menendo came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Estrella de Maldonado's Alfonso Gentza. But to his dismay, Alfonso Gentza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Carmelo Palos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Braulio Chuan went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 80 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Etxepare dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carmelo Palos, 1-4. The long shot by Dalmacio Sindo in the 84th minute really tested Carmelo Palos's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ezequiel Etxepare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Palos having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, Estrella de Maldonado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Nardo to maneuver through the defense. Braulio Chuan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 95th playminute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ibáñez walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
