Filiberto Gorosti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Calvet, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Rogelio Peli scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filiberto Gorosti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Instituto CBA's zone, Jorge Arnalt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Gorosti came out of the goal and Jorge Arnalt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Dario Ellande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventud Liberal's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Ellande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filiberto Gorosti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Ellande in the 25th minute of play forced Instituto CBA's goalkeeper Filiberto Gorosti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Instituto CBA's Filiberto Gorosti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Calvet in the 26th minute of play. If Dario Ellande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filiberto Gorosti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Ellande in the 30th minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Instituto CBA got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Fagildo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Calvet in the 34th minute of play forced Instituto CBA's goalkeeper Filiberto Gorosti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Rogelio Peli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Filiberto Gorosti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Dario Ellande, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 44 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Filiberto Gorosti was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Dante Calvet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filiberto Gorosti was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardino Isaio to strike the kick off in the second half. Filiberto Gorosti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Ellande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 55 minutes, Dante Calvet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventud Liberal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Calvet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dario Ellande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filiberto Gorosti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dante Calvet in the 66th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dante Calvet got free with Filiberto Gorosti in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filiberto Gorosti stood somewhat misplaced when Dante Calvet came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 70 minute. Dante Calvets short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Filiberto Gorosti to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dante Calvet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dante Calvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Peli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Filiberto Gorosti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Rogelio Peli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dante Calvet struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Filiberto Gorosti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventud Liberal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Dante Calvet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventud Liberal's supporters rose to their feet, but Dante Calvet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
