Dionisio Caton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Florentino Macerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sporting del Rio's Gaspar Orlandus in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Piedra's goalie prevented a goal. 37 minutes into the game, Sporting del Rio's Fernando Claus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augusto Senon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Augusto Senon came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting del Rio's Fernando Claus. But to his dismay, Fernando Claus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dionisio Caton was the one to do the kick off. Gaspar Orlandus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Senon having to interfere. Augusto Senon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Orlandus in the 59th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Gaspar Orlandus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Piedra's Augusto Senon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Osorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Florentino Macerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Carlos Osorio made a precise shot to the right of Florentino Macerio. Sporting del Rio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. La Piedra's Augusto Senon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save La Piedra from getting a goal against them.
