Alberto Aimar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sporting del Rio's Florentino Macerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Lehior in the 20th minute of play. Florentino Macerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Lehior in the 22nd minute of the match. Gaspar Orlandus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Sporting del Rio's Fernando Claus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Aimar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gaspar Orlandus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Orlandus might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Aimar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaspar Orlandus ran back to his position shaking his head. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Lehior was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Nottingham Miedo FC defense, Fernando Claus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Aimar. The Nottingham Miedo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Aimar should have stopped the shot. After 58 played minutes Nottingham Miedo FC got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Tulio. Alberto Aimar came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting del Rio's Fernando Claus. But to his dismay, Fernando Claus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Enrique Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Sporting del Rio's Roberto Bazil tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sporting del Rio booed when Nottingham Miedo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Endura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Aimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Orlandus, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Nottingham Miedo FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gaspar Orlandus 79 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Fernando Claus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting del Rio's goalkeeper Florentino Macerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaspar Orlandus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Aimar having to interfere. Sporting del Rio's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
