An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Hori in the 11th minute of play forced Leon's goalkeeper Alberto Evangelista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Evangelista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Feo in the 12th minute. Cristo Basajaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Cordarryl having to interfere. Tomas Cordarryl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Pinto in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Silvano Feo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAN LORENZO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Alberto Evangelista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Hori in the 25th minute of play. Tomas Cordarryl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Basajaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Silvano Feo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Alberto Evangelista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Silvano Feo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Feo couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute Rosendo Hori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Evangelista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Leon's Luis Selatse got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Tomas Cordarryl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Basajaun in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Damaso Pinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Basajaun came free, but Tomas Cordarryl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Evangelista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Hori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltasar Manex charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltasar Manex the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Baltasar Manex hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Leon's Cristo Basajaun in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAN LORENZO's goalie prevented a goal. After 64 played minutes SAN LORENZO got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Etxeberri. If Cristo Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rosendo Hori came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the SAN LORENZO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Hori couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Txerran during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 played minutes SAN LORENZO got a freekick which was hit by Severino Txerran. Tomas Cordarryl was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fausto Mede. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Ellande during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes Leon got a freekick which was hit by David Ellande. Severino Txerran struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Alberto Evangelista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN LORENZO. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rosendo Hori in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Evangelista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Damaso Pinto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Tomas Cordarryl made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damaso Pinto got free with Tomas Cordarryl in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Damaso Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Damaso Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon's supporters rose to their feet, but Damaso Pinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Cordarryl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
