A collision led to Escalada FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Lucio Arlo hit a great ball. Alvaro Rius kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, C.A. Lamarque's Haroldo Torres broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Genaro Karmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacobo Aurre was the one to do the kick off. Escalada FC's Vinicio Petri got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodoro Iliana had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Haroldo Torres's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Teodoro Iliana came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. Lamarque's Haroldo Torres.
