In the 29th minute Roque Illan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Sandalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Junín's Severiano Gartzi got a free kick in the 34th minute. Emilio Chesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Justino Sandalio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roque Illan might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justino Sandalio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roque Illan ran back to his position shaking his head. After 39 minutes of play, Corbett's Emilio Chesus made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Justino Sandalio was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Chesus in the 45th minute of play forced Junín's goalkeeper Justino Sandalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roque Illan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Sandalio having to interfere.

If Candido Txilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Isidro Obano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Mateo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Txilar in the 57th minute of the match. Roque Illan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Sandalio having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Corbett's Roque Illan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Justino Sandalio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Justino Sandalio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Chesus in the 68th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Corbett's Emilio Chesus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Justino Sandalio. That made the score 1-4 after 70 minutes of play. 87 minutes into the match, Junín's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Chesus came free, but Justino Sandalio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Emilio Chesus fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Justino Sandalio, passed just outside the right post. Roque Illan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Sandalio having to interfere. Corbett played a much better game than Junín and deserved their victory. The Junín players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
