The referee ignored Cochequingam's protests and gave Aristides Senen a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Guerau in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nunez Lizbeth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 43rd play minutes Aristides Senen shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Nunez Lizbeth and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 48th minute, Cochequingam's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Roberto Aguilera fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrian Guerau to make the kick off.
