Hilario Rivas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Sendoa in the 5th minute of play. Hilario Rivas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Emmanuel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute of the match Dionisio Guillem shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hilario Rivas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zeledon Oriche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 minutes, Eriberto Sendoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belgrano De Cordoba and the Club Cordoba Capital players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eriberto Sendoa hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Hilario Rivas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Sendoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Zeledon Oriche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Venancio Lugo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belgrano De Cordoba's Venancio Lugo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Oriche in the 25th minute of play. If Zeledon Oriche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Belgrano De Cordoba's Venancio Lugo got control of the ball when Artemio Dei tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Eriberto Sendoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgrano De Cordoba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Sendoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34thth minute of the game Zeledon Oriche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgrano De Cordoba's Venancio Lugo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 35 played minutes Belgrano De Cordoba got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Nuñez. Eriberto Sendoa took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Rivas. Hilario Rivas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 47th minute, Victoriano Lehen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zeledon Oriche to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano De Cordoba's zone, Zeledon Oriche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venancio Lugo came out of the goal and Zeledon Oriche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute of the match, Eriberto Sendoa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hilario Rivas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eriberto Sendoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Hilario Rivas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Silvio Rodriguez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Cordoba Capital's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgrano De Cordoba the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Eriberto Sendoa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hilario Rivas, passed just outside the right post. Freddy Emmanuel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Hilario Rivas made a huge save. In the 76th match minute, Club Cordoba Capital was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Eguen to maneuver through the defense. Hilario Rivas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddy Emmanuel in the 79th minute. Artemio Dei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Belgrano De Cordoba getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Lucio Nuñez hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
