But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Inocente couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Stegmann's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Selmo came free, but Eustacio Bernat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Stegmann getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Julian Benitez hit a great ball. Serafino Semeno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. The tension between the Stegmann and the Arrecifes players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Clemente Ranolfo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 36 minutes had been played. The tension between the Stegmann and the Arrecifes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Stegmann was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Inocente to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a defensive mix-up in Arrecifes's zone, Lisandro Inocente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Procopio came out of the goal and Lisandro Inocente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Procopio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Inocente in the 57th minute of the match. Segundo Hondo charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Segundo Hondo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Segundo Hondo hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When Stegmann's Zeledon Aurre in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arrecifes's goalie prevented a goal. Fausto Procopio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Inocente in the 89th minute of play. Zeledon Aurre might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Procopio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeledon Aurre ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 97 in the game by Zeledon Aurre from a close distance when the talented Fausto Procopio managed to make a qualified save. Arrecifes's players were relieved. The Arrecifes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Stegmann's performance. The match ended with a win for Stegmann.
