Cecilio Ur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Fausto Procopio made a huge save. Jesus Harri was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Orlan during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Arrecifes getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Valentin Orlan hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see Carolina's Zacarias Baladi in action when he in the 37th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Dalmacio Semeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Domenec, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Adan Domenec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Arrecifes's Fausto Procopio got control of the ball when Jesus Harri tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jesus Harri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jesus Harri to strike the kick off in the second half. Fausto Procopio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marciano Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute, Marcos Ebardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adan Domenec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 89 minutes, Jesus Harri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carolina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Harri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Procopio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnulfo Francho went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
