Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cornelio Loco started the match with the kick off. Vicente Ostargi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Urre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domingos Montay during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Zárate AFC booed when Raíces FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Montay didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Zárate AFC's Pablo Nofre in action when he in the 6th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Ostargi got free with Conrado Urre in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cornelio Loco struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Conrado Urre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Raíces FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Cornelio Loco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raíces FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornelio Loco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Urre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornelio Loco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Conrado Urre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Benigno Mirande fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Raíces FC's protests and gave Benigno Mirande a yellow card for diving instead. Benigno Mirande hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Conrado Urre made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Vicente Ostargi sent off a good shot on target. Conrado Urre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Loco, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute, Benigno Mirande fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Uriel Eleazar to make the kick off. A collision led to Zárate AFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Pablo Nofre hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Natalio Gabirel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Madeo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Bernat in the 68th minute of play forced Zárate AFC's goalkeeper Conrado Urre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cristobal Lia fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zárate AFC's protests and gave Cristobal Lia a yellow card for diving instead. Conrado Urre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Loco in the 76th minute of play. Zárate AFC's Conrado Urre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Loco in the 95th minute of play. Uriel Eleazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Zárate AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
