Gladiadores's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Placido Jakobe scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andres Eli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gladiadores's Placido Jakobe got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 minutes Verón's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bartolo Dorio who took care of the corner kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Placido Jakobe was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Verón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Isias to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Gladiadores getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Arturo Polentzi hit a great ball. Guillermo Nardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Clemencin in the 58th minute of play. Placido Jakobe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gladiadores's Guillermo Nardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Nuxila in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Gladiadores booed when Verón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Cebo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Clemencin came free, but Guillermo Nardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javier Clemencin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Camilo Lain fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gladiadores's protests and gave Camilo Lain a yellow card for diving instead. Camilo Lain kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Guillermo Nardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Clemencin in the 84th minute of the match. Gervasio Nuxila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Nardo having to interfere. Guillermo Nardo came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Verón's Gervasio Nuxila. But to his dismay, Gervasio Nuxila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
