The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Islandia F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Canor to maneuver through the defense. Islandia F.C.'s Tiburcio Janpier got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yacuchina AFC's goalkeeper Marcial Fernandez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tiburcio Janpier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Frichoso kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Froilan Emeterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Fernandez having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Lesardo in the 22nd minute of play forced Islandia F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulo Txilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Yacuchina AFC's Miguel Frichoso got a free kick in the 29th minute. Nemesio Medina shot from long distance in the 29th minute, but Marcial Fernandez was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 38 minutes into the game, Froilan Emeterio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marcial Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tiburcio Janpier struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Marcial Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islandia F.C.. Tiburcio Janpier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Fernandez having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Tiburcio Janpier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Islandia F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Janpier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niceto Servando charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niceto Servando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Yacuchina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Servando to maneuver through the defense. Froilan Emeterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Froilan Emeterio made the kick off in the second half. Yacuchina AFC's Marcial Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Emeterio in the 57th minute of play. After 60 minutes Yacuchina AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nemesio Medina who took care of the corner kick. 66 minutes into the game, Islandia F.C.'s Froilan Emeterio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Fernandez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Froilan Emeterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Fernandez having to interfere. Marcial Lesardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Paulo Txilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcial Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Janpier in the 80th minute of play. Norberto Luix kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Froilan Emeterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Islandia F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
