The referee showed Saturnino Huly the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Islandia F.C. getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. After a defensive mix-up in Mapuche Futbol Club's zone, Froilan Emeterio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Chuan came out of the goal and Froilan Emeterio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Froilan Emeterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fernando Chuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mapuche Futbol Club's goalkeeper Fernando Chuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Mapuche Futbol Club supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Islandia F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Islandia F.C..
