In the 19th minute Celso Acevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Chuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Chuan made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Albino Conrao sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Mapuche Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Acevedo came free, but Fernando Chuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Acevedo struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Fernando Chuan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Bagres. Albino Conrao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albino Conrao got free with Fernando Chuan in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Celso Acevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alejo Gaueko to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Acevedo in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Chuan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th match minute, Mapuche Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Birjaio to maneuver through the defense. If Celso Acevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Chuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Acevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Albino Conrao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Bagres's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Conrao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 79th minute Albino Conrao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Chuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Los Bagres getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Paulino Gomesano hit a great ball. Los Bagres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Conrao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Los Bagres's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
