But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filomeno Matteo couldn't finish the play. After 84 minutes of play, Bayauca's Filomeno Matteo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Braulio Peruxu was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Julio Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Filomeno Matteo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Braulio Peruxu. Profundidad AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filomeno Matteo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. There was no doubt that Bayauca were the better team. Bayauca's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
