After 5 played minutes Ciudad de vicente lopez got a freekick which was hit by Abel Modestio. After having played for 8 minutes, Elvio Fagildo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciudad de vicente lopez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvio Fagildo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, GimnasiayEsgrima La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Frantzes came free, but Godofredo Mogel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ciudad de vicente lopez's zone, Ariel Manilan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Ioritz came out of the goal and Ariel Manilan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Ciudad de vicente lopez's Florencio Bras got a free kick in the 20th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Elvio Fagildo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godofredo Mogel. GimnasiayEsgrima La Plata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elvio Fagildo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Ciudad de vicente lopez's Florencio Bras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godofredo Mogel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ariel Manilan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evelio Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Ioritz having to interfere. Ariel Manilan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfredo Ioritz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ariel Manilan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 46th minute, Ariel Manilan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elvio Fagildo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elvio Fagildo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in GimnasiayEsgrima La Plata's zone, Elvio Fagildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godofredo Mogel came out of the goal and Elvio Fagildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ariel Manilan might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Ioritz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ariel Manilan ran back to his position shaking his head. When Florencio Bras came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ciudad de vicente lopez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Bras couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, GimnasiayEsgrima La Plata's Godofredo Mogel got control of the ball when Elvio Fagildo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Ariel Manilan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alfredo Ioritz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alejo Prejun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ariel Manilan in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Ioritz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Florencio Bras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes, Justo Frantzes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ciudad de vicente lopez and the GimnasiayEsgrima La Plata players grew even worse after the yellow card. 88 minutes into the match, GimnasiayEsgrima La Plata's Evelio Blanco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Ioritz narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
